MUJI l audiovisual system design

Forte provided MUJI with a complete audiovisual system design. Their schematics improved project clarity and facilitated trade coordination. The project would have been impossible without their design!

Forte worked with Unison construction management to deliver a full audiovisual system design for MUJI’s flagship store on Robson Street.

Phase 1: Stakeholder Engagement

We identified that without a defined audiovisual standard for the store, there was a lot of risk to both the client (MUJI) and the general contractor (Unison).

We met with the senior management team from MUJI to understand their needs and their technology vision for their flagship store.

Phase 2: Concept Development

Based on the feedback that we captured during our stakeholder engagement, our design team put together some high-level concepts for the MUJI team to review.

Phase 3: Project Documentation

Green light!

The MUJI team loved our concept design, so our team got to work to put together the project documentation that Unison would use to coordinate the audiovisual tender and installation.

The final documentation included:

  • Speaker layouts

  • Security system schematics

  • Access control system schematics

  • Digital signage wiring guides

  • POE & data wiring guides

Here are some snapshots from our final design package:
